The ongoing peace-keeping mission of the modern German Army in Afghanistan, ISAF, turned out to be the key factor for modernisation programmes and new purchases for the army's vehicles fleet. Already today, the German ISAF contingent employs types hitherto unseen on German soil. This publication shows these vehicles and describes the service of German soldiers in Afghanistan fully detailed and on eyewitness base.
